After a brief overview of Analogue and Digital, we got straight into went scavenger hunting for litter that had been left around the grounds of UOW. Initially I was really surprised at how clean the grounds were but when I started to properly for rubbish I began to see lots of little things around the place. Most of the objects left about were related to food which I think definitely says something about our reliance on bought and fast food.

When we returned to the classroom we started the process of photographing, photocopying and scanning our objects. It had never occurred to me to scan or photocopy something three dimensional. I'd seen the odd bum photocopy so I knew it was possible but in my head I'd thought that it wouldn't work or the machine would break or something because the lid wasn't closed! It worked so well though, the photocopies looked great and even though some of my scans came out a bit unfocused because of some light creeping in, it was a really fun task. I also learned what the power of a black or white backing can have to make the colours of different items pop out.
