Today we started cutting out our objects from the photocopies we made in class on on Tuesday. We then had to construct a composition from these pieces. To begin with I was really intent on using all the objects I had found yesterday but because of this, all the compositions I tried were a bit convoluted and had too much going on. Beverages are one of my favourite things and having collected a lot of drink related containers and items, I started to focus on this. It got easier from here as I wasn't so fixated on including everything but there were still so many combinations I could make that it was still hard to settle on one composition.

FINAL
Looking at it now, my final work is still a bit hectic. There isn't much negative space in my collage which makes it quite hard on the eye and thus, tricky to work out what's going on. I was trying to convey that all of these objects and rubbish comes from one place; human consumption (symbolised by the coffee cup, something that humans consume in enormous quantities each year).
