Today we finished composing our ransom notes in an A4 size. My final composition reads: 'Eat my asparagus, & your fish dies.' I am happy with the way the composition worked out but I am ambivalent about the message I chose (I really don't want to killing fish)! I tried to use green to lead the viewers eye through the poster and create an 'C' shaped visual path from the top right to bottom right hand corners.
Jo then asked us to scan our work into photoshop and play with the levels, hue and saturation to create a really powerful final piece.

Once I had scanned my work I started to see a couple of things to adjust in the composition. The word asparagus was too large for the page and the text in the bottom right corner was very clustered together so I started playing around with this. Jo showed me a really effective way to resize these parts of text by using two layers rather than just editing it on one. The scanner had left some marks on the work so I tidied these up a bit. I didn't like the blue and yellow spot at the bottom as it didn't quite fit with the composition so I took this out as well.
