To start class, we continued on from what we looked at yesterday.

TYPE CRIME

- Vertically stacked lower-case (capitals can be stacked because the letters have more form and consistent dimensions, whereas the forms of lowercase type is too varied and the ascenders and descenders clash).

- Indents and paragraphs spacing used together.

- Do not use italics, bold and underline at the same time. It's overkill.

KEY POINTS

- Text is an image, use size and weight to create tone, rhythm and space.

We then finished working on our bodies of text and began adding them to our booklet.

In hindsight, a lot of my compositions look very alike and I should have experimented more with ome of the techniques Jo showed us.
